Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the structured approach to assessing a collapsed patient
  • Be able to perform in hospital Basic Life Support
  • Be competent in the use of a defibrillator
  • Use of airway adjuncts up to the LMA
  • Be able to manage the initial treatment of a collapsed patient
  • Be able to manage the initial treatment of a patient in cardiac arrest
